Fixed-Point Notation

The fixed-point Notation (format) is a notation using a decimal point in a particular location and it appears in the same place each time to define the magnitude of a number.

In the fixed format, the user can choose the level of accuracy for the output as tenths place, hundredths place, thousandths place, and so on. Every output will then fix the decimal point to one location.

Example:
Using thousandths-place accuracy

1/3         = 0.333
1/16       = 0.063
2300/2 = 1150.000
