Floating-Point Notation

The floating-point notation (format) is a notation that allows the magnitude of a number to define where the decimal point should be placed.

The decimal point appears in a locatin defined by the number to be displayed.

Example:

1/3         = 0.333333333333
1/16       = 0.0625
2300/2 = 1150
